Mailing Lists

Contents

Quick-Start: To get in touch with SmartFrog users and developers, send email to smartfrog-users@lists.sourceforge.net.

'smartfrog-users' Mailing List

The primary mailing list is smartFrog-users at smartfrog-users@lists.sourceforge.net. This is a sourceforge-managed list to which all the developers subscribe, and to which questions about everything from using SmartFrog to to its internals can be discussed. The list is used for all general queries, support and discussions, for both users and developers. If you're interested in SmartFrog, we encourage you to subscribe to the list at https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/smartfrog-users, and to contribute!

The two precedessor lists smartfrog-developer and smartfrog-support have been merged into this single list.

'smartfrog-announce' Mailing List

The smartfrog-announce mailing list is for announcements only, such as new releases. Announcements are also carried on the smartfrog-users list. You can subscribe to smartfrog-announce at https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/smartfrog-announce.

'smartfrog-security' Mailing List

There is a special mailing list for security announcements, smartfrog-security. This list is for use if we find an emergency security issue. Apart from the occasional test message in which we check that the list is still live, it does not have any traffic -we have not found any emergency security problems yet.

'smartfrog-checkins'

smartfrog-checkins gets all the SVN checkin announcements, Jira issues, and emails from some of the Continuous Integration tools we build and test SmartFrog with. There is a lot of machine-generated mail here, which is primarily for people developing the code. Others are free to subscribe, especially if they want to track what is being worked on, or they like to close bug reports in Jira.
